FieldCore is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Instrumentation & Controls Technician to join their team based in Spain. This role is crucial for maintaining and upgrading power generation equipment within GE Vernova’s Gas Power business.

The Role of an Instrumentation & Controls Technician
As an Instrumentation & Controls Technician, having achieved level two competencies, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks related to field instruments, equipment systems, and controls. This includes disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, calibrating, and testing, as well as performing periodic maintenance. You will also evaluate and determine necessary modifications, execute complex repairs, or manage the removal of devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance or troubleshooting unscheduled issues.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions, initiating corrective actions and documentation.
- Provide daily records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and other work, adhering to approved guidelines.
- Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices post-repair.
- Communicate effectively with customer staff regarding equipment calibration, repair, and operation.
- Perform all work in compliance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Undertake other duties to support FieldCore’s vision and align with organizational core values.
Special Role Requirements
- A preferred field of study or equivalent related work experience is required.
- Must possess appropriate licenses or certifications as mandated by federal, state, or local laws.
- English proficiency is a beneficial asset.
- Demonstrated experience in instrumentation, controls, installation, calibration, maintenance, and equipment repair.
- Proven understanding and application of physical standards for mass, temperature, flow, and pressure.
- Proficiency with computers and PLCs.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specification manuals.
- A committed team player focused on maintaining a high-quality work environment.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects within specified timeframes.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both internationally and domestically.
- Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
