About Gordian and the Human Resources Business Partner Role
At Gordian, a Fortive company, we are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to drive meaningful change. You will leverage your deep HR knowledge to interpret complex business issues through a people and culture lens, offering invaluable recommendations. This role demands autonomy and confidence in decision-making, tackling intricate HR problems with innovative solutions that benefit both the organization and employee satisfaction. As a natural leader, you will guide people leaders and cross-functional teams, spearheading projects within the people/culture/HR domain to advance talent, culture, and organizational objectives. This remote role will partner with VP/General Managers and Corporate functions, reporting to the VP HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Serve as a strategic partner for people leaders within the Operating Company, providing expert consultation and support.
- Employee Engagement: Coach leaders on strategies for fostering an inclusive culture and enhancing employee engagement. Analyze engagement data, identify root causes, and co-develop action plans to improve retention and productivity.
- Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE): Apply a strong understanding of IDE principles to create inclusive environments, promote diversity, and advance equity across all HR processes. Partner with business leaders and Centers of Excellence (COE) to deploy tools that drive an inclusive growth culture.
- Performance Management: Provide comprehensive consultation on goal setting, performance feedback, coaching, and performance improvement plans throughout the entire performance management lifecycle.
- Employee Relations and Experience: Guide managers on HR policies and best practices to foster a productive environment and mitigate risks. Coach leaders through employee relations matters, potentially collaborating with the ER COE on investigations.
- Workforce Planning: Utilize proficiency in workforce planning methodologies to anticipate talent needs and align plans with organizational objectives. Coach leaders through various workforce actions, including ramp-ups, acquisitions, role eliminations, and restructurings, using data to inform decisions.
- Manager Capability in Talent Management: Equip managers with skills to select, develop, and retain top talent via Organizational Talent Assessment and Talent Review processes. Coach leaders on development solutions and partner with Talent Acquisition for selection decisions. May design and deliver training programs with the COE.
Role Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Management, or other relevant experience.
- Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices.
- Proven capability to lead others in solving complex people and organization problems using analytical thought and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated impact across a range of clients and operations, leading cross-functional projects with moderate risk, resources, and complexity.
- A trusted resource to leaders and HR colleagues, collaborating effectively across the organization.
- Skilled in communicating difficult concepts and negotiating with leaders.
- Leverages data to inform decisions, with a hands-on approach and high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated achievement in coaching, influencing, and problem-solving with various levels of leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, change management, learning, and performance management.
- Understands business drivers and possesses proven project management and execution skills.
- Experience in team environments with multiple time zones.
- Willingness to travel 10-20%.
- Proficient in Oracle HCM systems.

Compensation and Benefits
This position is eligible for a bonus as part of the total compensation package. The salary range for this position is 114,100.00 - 190,500.00.
