Role Overview: HCC Risk Adjustment Coder
As an HCC Risk Adjustment Coder, you will review medical records and accurately code diagnoses using the ICD-10 system. This ensures proper representation of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze patient records based on client guidelines.
- Code diagnostic information accurately using ICD-10 CM.
- Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate.
- Ensure compliance with reimbursement policies and regulations.
- Undertake additional tasks as requested by leadership.
Qualifications
- AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC) certification.
- Minimum 2 years HCC coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to work remotely and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Additional Details
This role features a base pay of $19.60/hour with the option to earn up to $3.25 per chart based on production and quality standards.
Candidates may be subject to post-offer health screenings and vaccination requirements. Exemptions, if applicable, are considered on a case-by-case basis.
