Internships last 15 weeks from January 26, 2026 to May 8, 2026.
How You Will Work
The Geographic Information Systems Analyst Intern will work on a hybrid model with on-site periods at The Henry Ford's campus in Dearborn, MI or other Metro Detroit locations.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist with building interactive map experiences.
- Develop impact and success stories.
- Contribute to marketing and audience segmentation projects.
- Work directly with the lead innovator and the Head of Analytics & Business Intelligence.
What You Should Have
- A background in Geographic Information Systems, Urban Planning, Policy & Research, or related fields.
- Proficiency in ESRI products such as ArcGIS, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Online and more.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, R, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
- Understanding of web APIs, handling JSON/XML.
- Collaboration, curiosity, and willingness to ask for help.

Program Details
Interns attend bi-weekly professional development workshops on the Dearborn campus and mandatory intern orientation on January 26, 2026. International students seeking practical training are welcome.
