Position Overview
The Fraud Risk Analyst supports the Risk Mitigation team by reviewing suspicious activities, assisting with fraud detection, and maintaining accurate documentation of risk incidents. This position is ideal for those seeking to grow into a Risk Investigator role by honing analytical, investigative, and cross-functional communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor daily transaction and payroll activity for anomalies.
- Flag and document suspicious activity for senior review.
- Respond to fraud-related tickets with data gathering.
- Review new client onboarding data for potential fraud indicators.
- Maintain accurate logs of risk incidents and investigations.
- Compile data for risk reports and dashboards.
- Participate in quality assurance checks for internal compliance.
- Assist in updating standard operating procedures for risk management.
- Review cardholder disputes and validate documentation.
- Submit chargeback claims and communicate with cardholders on dispute status.
- Coordinate with teams for information on risk cases.
- Escalate high-risk issues to appropriate investigators or managers.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Participate in fraud detection training and stay updated on emerging trends.
- Assist in processing international transaction exceptions.
Education and Experience
An Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with 2+ years in a professional setting, and a preference for candidates with experience in customer service, operations, finance, or compliance. Familiarity with fraud detection tools and strong attention to detail are essential.
Physical Requirements
The role requires long periods of sitting and the ability to operate computer and phone systems simultaneously.
Additional Information
This is a fully remote role available to candidates in the Philippines, requiring availability five days per week during designated work hours. Base pay range is provided per market location with additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) match.
