Job Summary
Langan is seeking an Environmental Intern / Trainee to join its collaborative team in San Francisco, CA. This individual will play a key role in supporting project managers both as a field representative and as an office professional for environmental and remediation projects in the San Francisco Bay area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with Langan project and task managers and gain practical field and office experience on high profile projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support to project managers and function as a trainee, learning office and field skills related to environmental clean-up and/or remediation projects;
- Serve as a field representative;
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling;
- Monitor construction sites;
- Compile data and prepare reports;
- Perform data entry, table preparation and file management; and
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma; preference will be given to Science / Engineering students actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program;
- Preference will be given to those candidates residing in the following zip codes, as per public client contractual terms: 94124, 94103, 94107, 94105, and 94134;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week; and
- Reliable transportation to office and job sites.

The estimated hourly range for this role is: $24 - $31. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
