We are seeking an Entry Level Application Support Engineer for our business unit in Dortmund, which boasts around 170 employees. This team develops software for banking and finance clients, digitalizing business processes from architecture to implementation, utilizing standard technologies while keeping an eye on new developments. You will thrive in the dynamic environment of an IT company, working with current technologies and IT systems.
Your Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for our software components within customer operating environments.
- Perform installation, technical support, and configuration of our software products.
- Independently analyze support requests and change requests of varying urgency and complexity.
- Execute maintenance for software product releases.
- Collaborate with process owners to analyze and optimize existing products and processes.
- Maintain close communication with Service Managers, Software Developers, and Project Managers.
- Ensure agreed-upon SLAs across multiple system landscapes.
- Document implemented solutions and processes.
- Manage external service providers/customers and coordinate internal interfaces.
- Lead, manage, and provide technical support to the Application Manager expert group.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training or equivalent qualification with an IT background.
- Good knowledge in at least one operating system (Windows / Linux).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases.
- Strong sense of responsibility, a structured and service-oriented work approach, and team player mentality.
- Excellent communication skills with various target groups.
- Good and confident German language skills (written and spoken), with basic English knowledge.
