Job Summary
The District Manager oversees a corporate dining portfolio supporting a high-profile technology client, with locations in New York, Denver, Boston, and San Francisco. Based primarily in NYC with minimal travel, this role serves as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client, ensuring strong relationships, financial performance, and consistent operational execution across all sites. The environment is non-union, with strong on-site leadership teams in place. The ideal candidate is highly personable, organized, and systems-driven, bringing a project-management mindset to complex, multi-site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary client relationship owner and SPOC
- Lead and support Resident District Managers and Directors of Dining Services
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for a ~$15M portfolio
- Ensure consistent food quality, service standards, and operational excellence
- Support and oversee free food programs and pantry initiatives
- Ensure fair and consistent administration of personnel policies
- Drive alignment, communication, and execution across multiple locations
- Support account retention and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of contract foodservice management experience
- Proven multi-unit corporate dining leadership
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Highly organized, systems-oriented, and detail-driven
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
