The Director of Curriculum and Instruction, New Education Initiative NEI at MIT Open Learning leads the design and delivery of a groundbreaking digital curriculum. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of instructional designers and developers.
- Guide pedagogical strategy and content creation.
- Co-develop MIT’s Faculty Academy for educator training.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to build scalable, high-impact learning experiences online and in classrooms.
Job Requirements
Applicants must hold a PhD in engineering, computing, math, science, humanities, or social sciences and have at least eight years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to thrive in fast-changing environments and manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results. Submissions require a cover letter, a teaching statement outlining instructional philosophy, and a CV detailing education, publications, talks, and relevant experience.
Appointment Details
This is a one-year term appointment with the potential for extension based on performance and funding. The position has a pay range of $120,000 to $160,000 and is categorized as full-time (hybrid).
