Job Overview
As a DevOps Intern at DevOps Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers to automate infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and enhance monitoring and observability. This is a 4–6 month internship with potential conversion into a full-time role based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for app and data services.
- Work with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for scaling and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Support cloud operations across AWS and/or GCP/Azure equivalents.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and performance issues in staging and production.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and analysts for smooth release cycles.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including OS, networking, and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with monitoring/alerting tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
