Job Overview

Lensa is a career site promoting jobs for direct clients. This position is for ClearCaptions, a FCC-certified telephone captioning provider focused on enhancing communication for seniors and those hard-of-hearing. The role is remote and reports to the Director of Data Engineering.

Position Summary

The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of enterprise data assets. Acting as a liaison between data owners, users, and IT teams, the role establishes data standards and maintains compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

• Identify critical data elements and maintain data inventory.
• Monitor data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
• Resolve data quality issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data owners, analysts, IT, and stakeholders.
• Develop data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and business glossaries.
• Support automation of data validation and cleansing workflows.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with corresponding experience in data management roles. Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, master data management, and data warehousing. Proficiency in SQL, data profiling tools, and data visualization platforms; familiarity with tools like MS Purview, Collibra or Informatica is preferred. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an asset, along with certifications in Data Governance or related fields.
