Role Overview: Data Quality Specialist
The Data Quality Specialist will join our Real-World Data team and ensure the quality and integrity of healthcare data assets. Key responsibilities include conducting routine data quality reviews, performing root cause investigations using SQL and dashboards, developing proactive data validations, and collaborating with data vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform data quality validations and root cause investigations using SQL and analysis tools.
- Conduct impact assessments for data vendor updates and schema changes.
- Develop and enhance quality checks and validation frameworks.
- Collaborate with data vendors to verify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Work with various internal teams to triage and resolve data concerns.
- Document findings and translate technical insights for diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related fields. Experience with healthcare data, SQL, relational databases, and real-world data types (EMR, claims, lab data) is essential. A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail are crucial.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of healthcare data privacy standards like HIPAA, experience with Redshift, programming in Python or R, and familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow are preferred.
