Job Description
Overview
The Data & AI Architect at ClearCaptions will lead the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise data and AI strategy. This role is critical in shaping the future of our data ecosystem spanning multiple platforms, modernizing data architecture across AWS and Azure, and pioneering early AI initiatives.
Data Strategy
Define and own the enterprise data & AI architecture roadmap. Identify high-impact AI use cases across customer experience, operations, and business insights. Champion innovation through proof-of-concepts and pilot programs including SQL Server to Azure Fabric Lakehouse migration to ensure continuity for BI and reporting. Advocate self-service reporting via Power BI and emerging AI tools.
Data Architecture
Establish and enforce data architecture principles, standards, and patterns. Develop canonical data models ensuring reusability and effective integration across AWS-based source systems, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Azure Fabric.
AI & Advanced Analytics
Lead adoption of AI/ML platforms within Azure and AWS ecosystems; operationalize AI/ML models collaboratively with various teams.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to FCC, HIPAA, PCI, and other regulations. Implement robust data governance, privacy, security frameworks and best practices for data quality and lineage tracking.
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with IT, business leaders, and product owners to execute a unified data strategy. Mentor teams including data engineers and BI developers, while acting as a thought leader in promoting data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture with focus on Azure and AWS.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, Power BI, and modern data orchestration tools.
- Experience in data platform modernization and cloud-native lakehouse architecture.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and governance best practices.
Work Environment & Compensation
This is a 100% Remote position. Compensation ranges from $135,000 to $163,000 plus a 10% market adjustment, based on experience and qualifications. For more details on benefits, visit ClearCaptions Careers.
