Job Summary

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will support and perform security assessments, accreditation activities, compliance audits, risk assessments, security plans, and system tests and evaluations for IT systems and applications.

Internship Details

This full-time internship is remote and scheduled from June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026. Candidates must commit to 40 hours per week during core business hours (8:30 am EST to 5:00 pm EST) throughout the 9-week program. All work must be performed within the United States and no sponsorship is available.

What You Will Do

• Support security assessment and accreditation activities
• Perform security and compliance audits
• Conduct risk assessments and create security plans
• Review and document policy, incident response, and remediation gaps
• Collaborate with senior cybersecurity professionals for compliance actions
• Maintain documentation for remediation and security control implementation
• Assist with testing of security controls

What You'll Need

Required: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with Junior status and a GPA of 3.5 or higher, ability to meet deadlines, team orientation, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and some IT network or systems administration experience.

Preferred: Familiarity with compliance frameworks, IT controls, and security certifications like CompTIA Security+, CYSA+, or other relevant certifications.

Physical Demands & Compensation

The role requires a sedentary work style with occasional movement for meetings. The pay is $20 per hour with benefit packages including medical coverage, 401k retirement account, and paid time off as per law.
