Department & Projects
The Computational Bioinformatics department works on clinical and research projects centered around precision medicine and genomic analysis. The role involves data analysis using genetic testing panels, developing analysis pipelines, ensuring data security, and integrating with electronic medical record platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct computational analysis of various omics data (genome, transcriptome, etc.).
- Develop and maintain analysis pipelines and data integration processes.
- Perform quality control, statistical validation, and report generation.
- Collaborate with research, laboratory, and clinical teams.
- Write standard operating procedures and validate bioinformatics tools.
Qualifications
A Master’s in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Biomedical Engineering or a Ph.D. in a related field is required. Experience in next generation sequencing analysis, EMR APIs, programming (Python, Perl, R, Ruby, Java) and automated cloud pipelines is desirable. Candidates should have proven skills in statistical methods, data visualization, and bioinformatics tool usage.
