Lensa is a career site that promotes jobs on behalf of its clients. This role is for Ascension, a leading nonprofit Catholic health system. The Compliance Specialist - Privacy supports privacy-focused compliance activities and initiatives as part of the National Privacy team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to a Compliance Director - HIPAA Privacy, you will collaborate with Ascension Compliance leaders and team members to:

• Investigate and resolve privacy incidents from various reporting channels.
• Coordinate and follow-up on audits and compliance investigations.
• Assist in developing and implementing HIPAA and other privacy-related policies.
• Create and support compliance training and education programs.
• Prepare and analyze privacy tracking reports and metrics.
• Keep updated on HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy laws.
• Support projects and build a culture of compliance.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma with 2 years experience or Associate's/Bachelor's degree or 4 years of applicable experience. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years in healthcare privacy compliance are highly preferred.
