Cadrex Remote Estimator III Overview

Cadrex is seeking a skilled estimator with experience in CNC machining and cost estimation. The successful candidate will evaluate quote requests and create timely, accurate cost estimates for parts and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate requests for quotes.
• Gather proposals, prints, part models, and specifications.
• Identify labor, material, finish, and time requirements.
• Compute costs and secure estimates from suppliers.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, site managers, engineers, and customers.
• Assist Sales and Customer Service with key accounts management.
• Analyze job costing and suggest changes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• 2-4 years of cost estimating experience in a machine shop.
• Preferred 7+ years’ related experience or training in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong math, financial, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is a fully remote role with travel around 10%. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and performing physical tasks as required.
