Job Description

About The Team

IBM’s AI-First Transformation organization is redefining how a global enterprise operates in the agentic AI era—designing workflows, operating models, and technology foundations that power the next generation of IBM.

We are the group responsible for architecting IBM’s enterprise-wide transformation agenda, scaling AI solutions, and reimagining how work gets done across thousands of processes. Our mandate is to help IBM become the world’s benchmark AI-first enterprise.

To date, the organization has delivered $4.5B in productivity gains, making IBM a standout performer in the MIT GenAI Divide study, where 95% of enterprises fail to move beyond pilots. IBM is the rare organization successfully scaling AI at material enterprise levels—and this team is at the center of that shift.

This position sits inside one of IBM’s most strategic transformation engines.

The position will be based either at our flagship IBM New York City office at One Madison Avenue or at IBM’s headquarters campus in Armonk, NY, roughly 30 miles north of New York City, depending on candidate's preference.

What You’ll Do

  • Reimagine Enterprise Workflows with AI: Conduct deep workflow assessments across Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and other business domains. Apply zero-based design to create AI-native workflows, not incremental fixes. Identify opportunities for automation, GenAI, agentic systems, and intelligent orchestration. Define future-state operating models and transformation playbooks.
  • Advance AI Product Strategy & Experimentation: Evaluate prototypes, tools, and platforms being developed or tested across IBM. Lead or support experiments that test feasibility, scalability, and workflow integration. Support design of MVPs and contribute to readiness assessments for scale. Shape recommendations for build, integrate, or enhance decisions.

Translate cross-functional input into clear technology and AI enablement plans. Develop multi-quarter transformation roadmaps across domains. Engage with AI governance, risk, and prioritization mechanisms.
