Position Purpose
The Administrative Assistant Director supports a Director and/or department by performing full administrative and general office duties. This position ensures effective office operations and proper document management.
Key Responsibilities
- Clerical Support: Typing, note taking, mail management, and document filing (30%).
- Scheduling: Coordinating appointments, meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements (30%).
- Communication: Drafting letters, memorandums, presentations, and maintaining email/voicemail correspondence (25%).
- Telephone Screening: Handling calls and assisting with light accounting or budget review (15%).
Direct Reports & Management
This role reports to a Director or Sr. Director and has no direct reports.
Working Conditions & Requirements
The role is performed in a comfortable indoor office environment with no travel requirements. Candidates must be legally permitted to work in the US and at least 18 years old.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of work experience in administrative support.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and Internet usage. Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential.
