Job Summary

TestPros is seeking a qualified Accessibility Training Specialist to ensure its websites and mobile applications comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as mandated by the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) 2024 final rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This project aims to improve digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities and align the City’s digital platforms with federal accessibility requirements.

Position Details

  • Position: Part time (as needed, 1099 or Corp. to Corp)
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship or green card
  • Location: Remote
  • Clearance: None required

Responsibilities

  • Provide customized training sessions to staff on accessibility best practices.
  • Develop training materials focused on maintaining ongoing compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards.
  • Educate staff on the implications of the DOJ's 2024 rule for digital accessibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering training on accessibility standards and practices.
  • Knowledgeable about accessibility tools and how to integrate them into workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience creating instructional materials.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
