About the Role
Lenovo’s AI Ecosystems team is seeking a UX Motion Designer - AI Ecosystem who will lead the development of motion design systems that bring clarity, delight, and cohesion to AI-driven experiences. This role bridges interaction design, prototyping, and guiding design systems through to final implementation.
What You'll Do
- Define and evolve UX motion design systems aligned with AI experiences.
- Translate complex interactions into motion prototypes, specs, and handoff documentation.
- Collaborate with design systems team to integrate motion into Figma libraries.
- Partner with engineers to preserve motion intent across devices.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes using After Effects, Figma, Framer, Principle, and other tools.
- Lead motion critiques, mentorship, and cross-functional reviews.
- Document design systems for consistency, scalability, and developer alignment.
- Stay current with emerging prototyping tools and best practices in motion and AI design.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in UX or product design with a focus on motion design.
- Experience contributing to or managing a design system.
- Strong proficiency in After Effects, Figma, and modern prototyping tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Animation or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with motion design for AI or multimodal interfaces.
- Familiarity with design constraints and handoff workflows across platforms.
- Leadership in motion design workstreams and mentoring capabilities.
- Expertise in emerging tools and generative design techniques.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
Additional Information
This role is based at our downtown Chicago, IL office on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The salary range is budgeted at $125,000 - $160,000, with potential bonus and/or commission. For more details, visit our benefits page at www.lenovobenefits.com.
