Role Overview: Strategic Information Security Engineer

Lenovo’s Global Cyber Security Team is looking for experienced professionals to defend against evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will protect Lenovo’s global network by implementing advanced technical solutions, conducting assessments, investigating incidents, and deploying AI-driven security technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Protect Lenovo’s global network and support AI-driven security technology deployment.
  • Design, implement, and maintain technical controls to safeguard systems and data.
  • Conduct technical security assessments for internal and third-party engagements.
  • Develop and maintain technical security standards and documentation.
  • Participate in incident response and security operations as needed.
  • Stay current with cyber security threats, trends, and best practices.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel for technical meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • System administration (Linux or Windows) and security engineering experience.
  • 5+ years in global corporate network administration and protection.
  • 8+ years of technical experience in web application development, cloud administration, or network design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CEH, or Security+.
  • Working knowledge of AI technologies and cloud-based AI service providers.
  • Experience with cyber security control frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Proven track record in leading global security initiatives and incident response.

Work Arrangement & Location

This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) based in either Raleigh, NC or Chicago, IL.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $150K-$175K with potential bonus/commission. Additional benefits details are available on Lenovo Benefits.
