Job Overview

The Sr. Manager of AI Ethics and Governance role is based in Colorado and focuses on ensuring that Lenovo’s AI innovations are developed and deployed responsibly. You will collaborate with corporate teams including Legal, Security, and AI Governance to build robust governance processes and ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product, legal, security, and engineering teams to assess AI features for fairness, transparency, privacy, and safety.
  • Build and chair internal AI ethics working groups to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and training.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate global AI policy trends into actionable guidance.
  • Engage with industry partners, standards bodies, and academic experts to shape best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technology policy, AI governance, data ethics, or responsible AI.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, data governance, legal, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, model deployment practices, and evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience designing and operationalizing governance frameworks across complex product ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for building trustworthy, human-centered AI experiences.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this role is budgeted between $140k - 190K, with potential bonus and/or commission eligibility. Additional benefits are detailed at www.lenovobenefits.com.
