Job Description

Enterprise AI Pre-Sales Technical Specialist at Lenovo

Lenovo is a US$69 billion global technology powerhouse, ranked #196 in the Fortune Global 500, serving millions of customers in 180 markets. With a bold vision to deliver Smarter Technology for All, Lenovo has built on its success as the world’s largest PC company, offering a full-stack portfolio of AI-enabled, AI-ready, and AI-optimized devices, infrastructure, software, solutions, and services. Our continued investment in world-changing innovation is building a more equitable, trustworthy, and smarter future for everyone, everywhere. Join our team in Germany as an AI Technical Sales Specialist.

Smarter AI is an important part of our growth strategy. It's about delivering personalized, protected, and easily scalable AI outcomes, putting AI to work quickly, cost-effectively, and responsibly with full-stack AI hardware, software, and service solutions. Help us make Smarter AI a reality for all!

As an AI Technical Sales Specialist, you will collaborate with experienced Lenovo Technical Sales teammates in Germany and Austria to translate client requirements into robust Enterprise AI solutions. These solutions span across data centers, to the edge, to workstations and workplaces. Your pre-sales role involves designing solutions, selecting appropriate building blocks, configuring them, and then describing, discussing, and presenting these solutions to clients. You will also empower business partners to drive the Enterprise AI business more autonomously, working closely with our Enterprise AI business development specialist and client managers to scale our operations. You will help clients confidently deploy Lenovo technology to achieve tangible business outcomes and contribute to more energy-efficient and sustainable AI solutions using the latest Lenovo innovations.

What to Expect: Your Role Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for Enterprise AI projects throughout the entire technical sales cycle, from initial discussions and requirement gathering to solution design, iteration, final proposal, and closing.
  • This includes solution consulting, selection, and technical solution design aligned with customer and competitive requirements.
  • You will conduct technical enablement workshops with business partners, presenting our Enterprise AI solution portfolio and training them on key technical skills for sizing and choosing solutions.
  • You will represent Lenovo Enterprise AI solutions at key industry events, engaging with ecosystem partners to foster technical relationships and joint solution blueprints.
  • You will work closely with Lenovo sales teams and business partners to jointly design successful bids.
  • You will gain insight into future product technology roadmaps and collaborate with development teams to address evolving client and industry needs.
  • You will work closely with extended Lenovo technical sales teams, including client managers, benchmarking experts, developers, and services specialists, to achieve shared revenue and profit goals.
  • You will actively participate in weekly team meetings for best-practice sharing and regular technical community calls for exchange and learning.
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in our Stuttgart office and up to 2 days in your home office, except when traveling to clients and events. Expect up to 3 days of travel per week within Germany and Austria, with less intense travel periods also occurring.
  • During your initial training, our experienced team will provide dedicated support in the office or at client sites to ensure a great onboarding and integration experience.
  • Our technical sales experts will provide training on our solution portfolio, essential tools, processes, and help develop your skills in Enterprise AI solution design.
  • You will be part of the GAT (Germany, Austria) CTO organization, reporting to the CTO for GAT, collaborating with EMEA and global teams.

What to Bring: Your Profile

  • Excitement for data center, server, and networking technology, with motivation to delve into details and acquire a breadth of technical skills.
  • Previous technical AI experience (current role, studies, internships) with hands-on deployment of AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with key AI software tool stacks, preferably NVIDIA Enterprise AI, including LLMs, RAG solutions, and technical deployment of AI workloads.
  • Familiarity with terms like vGPU, MIG, NVLink, and NIMs. Existing NVIDIA certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Open to candidates from graduate level up to senior professionals, with role responsibilities adjustable accordingly.
  • Eagerness to work with clients, demonstrated by previous client-facing experience (current role, internships, jobs).
  • Love to present and share knowledge in various group settings, with experience presenting complex technical solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor or Master of Science (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) degree.
  • Client-oriented and independent working style with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Motivated and interested in technical sales and the IT industry.
  • Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.

What You Get: Benefits at Lenovo

  • Professional and personal development opportunities, including coaching from experienced team members, in a company with a global start-up mindset.
  • Lenovo technical family vibes, fostering a supportive, collaborative, and fun environment.
