Role Overview

The Senior Platform Engineer at Lendable will join the Zable Card Platform engineering pod. Work involves building and integrating new APIs, improving customer journeys, and optimizing lending platforms through deep architectural discussions.

  • Take ownership across a broad remit
  • Work in small, high-performing teams
  • Build technology in-house utilizing new data sources, machine learning, and AI

Technical Environment

Tech Stack: PHP 8, Symfony, AWS, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka.

Other Tools: Jenkins, Github Actions for deployment; Behat, PHPUnit, Jest, Selenium, and Detox for automated testing.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–8 years experience in PHP with 2–3 years scaling large platforms
  • Expertise in PHP 8.0+ and modern frameworks (Symfony or Laravel)
  • Proven experience in designing and running distributed, asynchronous systems
  • Skills in auto-scaling infrastructure and Domain-Driven Design
  • Collaborative mindset and passion for continuous learning
  • Desirable: Experience with event-driven systems, microservices, SRE, AWS, and CI/CD optimization
