About the Role
We're seeking an SVP of Engineering to lead the scaling of our AI-powered platform and deliver products that protect millions of customers globally. You will be responsible for our entire engineering and data science organization, shaping the future of insurance through the integration of cutting-edge AI and human-centered design. This executive role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and will significantly influence technology decisions to drive customer value.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a technology strategy to create scalable, secure, and customer-loved platforms.
- Lead and mentor senior engineering managers, fostering a culture that balances speed with quality.
- Translate product roadmaps into multi-year engineering plans, optimizing for innovation, reliability, and cost.
- Manage complex delivery across software, data, AI/ML, and infrastructure, focusing on product outcomes.
- Drive talent strategy for engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and retention.
- Represent engineering in executive discussions, presenting progress and trade-offs to facilitate informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Adaptability, drive, and an efficiency mindset are crucial for human-AI collaboration.
- 15+ years in engineering leadership, with executive experience managing large engineering functions.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, multi-product platforms with demonstrable business impact.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, data systems, AI/ML workflows, security, and reliability.
- Strong people leadership and executive presence, with a history of cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as Agile/Lean, CI/CD, cloud ecosystems, and observability.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making, emphasizing quantified outcomes and customer value.
- Educational degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work in an office environment the majority of the week.
