Who We Are

At Lemonade, our AI settles claims in seconds and our pricing models rewrite risk in real time. We don't just talk about AI, we ship it to millions of customers every day.

Our bots handle real claims with real money. Our engineers build products that couldn't exist before LLMs and real-time data pipelines, turning insurance into a fully autonomous service.

Why We're Hiring

If you thrive when moving from prototype to production with real customers, this role is for you. Join a team that builds conversational experiences and decision engines that learn on their own.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and own end-to-end Generative-AI services from conception to production rollout.
  • Combine RAG, function calling, and agents to automate underwriting, claims, and customer support flows.
  • Fine-tune open-source and commercial LLMs on proprietary datasets and evaluate using both offline benchmarks and online A/B tests.
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and design teams to create innovative AI-first customer experiences.
  • Build scalable APIs and micro-services using TypeScript/NestJS or Python/FastAPI on Kubernetes in AWS.
  • Instrument, monitor, and continuously improve model quality, latency, and cost.
  • Mentor fellow engineers on GenAI best practices including prompt engineering, vector search, and safety guard-rails.
  • Contribute to internal tooling that automates CI/CD, sandbox environments, and branch deploys.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years in building production-grade backend or ML systems.
  • Experience with LLMs - prompting, fine-tuning, and API deployments.
  • Proficiency in a backend language (TypeScript or Python) and cloud-native infrastructure (Docker, K8s, AWS).
  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and probability with relevant technical education.
  • Experience building resilient, high-traffic services in industries like finance or ad-tech.
  • Passion for engineering workflows and orchestrating tools effectively.
  • Able to work in the Tel Aviv office at least 3 days a week.

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on experience with vector databases or semantic search systems.
  • Experience with policy, safety, or red-teaming frameworks around GenAI.
  • Open-source contributions or published research in NLP/generative modeling.
  • Work with voice bots, multimodal models, or real-time streaming architectures.

What's In It For You

Be a key player where insurance and AI-first products are pioneered. Enjoy new service development without legacy constraints, top-of-the-line gear, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Work in a trust-based culture with minimal bureaucracy.

Ready to Ship?

Send a quick note with your code demo, prompt example, or even something you’re proud of. Let’s build the future together.
