Overview

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems DevOps Engineer in our National Security Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role focuses on platform architecture, automation, and cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Git, Linux and Windows environments, Agile methodologies, and cutting-edge deployment and system optimization solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development lifecycle including platform design, deployment, and debugging.
  • Build and maintain a release pipeline ensuring fast, secure production delivery.
  • Automate deployments across environments using scripting and toolkits.
  • Configure sites/applications using tools like Puppet and Ansible; manage Confluence/Jira.
  • Design and maintain web service infrastructure.
  • Implement process improvements through automation and streamlining.

Qualifications

A minimum of twenty years' experience as a Systems Engineer in similar scope programs and contracts is required. A bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required, with the option to substitute five years of additional experience for the degree. Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Preferred Skills & Technologies

  • Fluency with Git and version control best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration.
  • Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with caching technologies, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.
  • Competence with Agile development, AWS cloud management, and programming in Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), MS Project, and Visio.
