As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Parliamentary Systems, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of information and technology professionals. Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to post-secondary education in Fall 2026. This is a summer vacancy in the Information Services Branch.
What You'll Do as a Student Systems Analyst/Developer
- Integrate with our Agile/Scrum development team to conduct quality assurance activities.
- Assist our developers to maintain and support our public Drupal website.
- Complete a research or software development project over the summer following the project management process.
- Exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement in a politically sensitive environment.
Support Our Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, designers, product owners and testers.
- Provide daily feedback on your work.
How You Qualify
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, with a preference for studies in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Knowledge of the tools, concepts and methodologies of software development particularly in Drupal and PHP.
- Accuracy and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage your time.
- Ability to be an effective communicator (written and verbal), work independently and be flexible and adaptable.
