About the role
About Legion Health
Legion Health is on a mission to deliver the best psychiatric care in the world—and to do it at scale. We're building a full-stack AI-native psychiatry network—our clinicians provide high-quality care directly to patients, and AI agents automate all parts of our care operations (e.g., scheduling, risk analysis, billing, etc.). Our vision? A patient experience that’s 10X better, more affordable, and higher-margin than ever before. Today, we're turning weeks-long wait times into same-day appointments, crafting seamless digital experiences in a broken healthcare system, and scaling a company that patients genuinely trust. The Opportunity
We’re starting from zero SEO footprint (one Next.js landing page). Your mandate is to ship an AI‑powered SEO machine in 30 days and 10× qualified organic traffic within six months. You’ll architect the stack, publish the first wave of content, spin up programmatic pages, launch interactive self‑assessments, and teach the founders to scale the playbook.30-Day Success Targets
- Stand‑up an SEO‑ready CMS (Contentlayer + MDX or headless CMS) integrated with our Next.js/Vercel codebase.
- Hard‑launch a blog with 3–5 medically‑reviewed cornerstone posts targeting Texas‑insured psychiatry keywords.
- Publish programmatic pages for the five largest Texas metros plus the top insurance plans (BCBSTX, Aetna, Cigna, UHC, Oscar).
- Deploy an anonymous ADHD self‑assessment quiz (GAD‑7 next) with strong CTAs and FAQ schema.
- Complete a technical SEO sprint: sitemap.xml, robots.txt, Core Web Vitals tuning, Organization/Article/FAQ schema, internal‑link map, GSC + GA4 + PostHog instrumentation.
- Submit and index every new URL; deliver a weekly ranking‑and‑conversion dashboard.
What You’ll Own
Strategy & Roadmap
- Build a 12‑month keyword map covering Texas geography, insurance, and diagnostic terms.
- Define OKRs for traffic, intake conversion, and LTV.
AI‑Powered Content Engine
- Design prompts and workflows with GPT‑4/Claude/GrowthX/Positional (or your preferred stack).
- Draft and QA clinician‑vetted copy; maintain an editorial calendar.
Technical SEO & Site Health
- Optimize core web vitals, structured data, schema for medical entities, automated sitemaps, and ISR/code‑pushes on Vercel.
Experimentation & Measurement
- Run SEO A/B tests on copy, CTAs, and schema tweaks.
- Produce dashboards tying organic sessions to booked appointments and send weekly insight memos.
Programmatic SEO
- Launch templated city + insurance pages (minimum ten live in month one) with dynamic content and localized CTAs.
Interactive Content
- Build and ship the ADHD quiz (ASRS) and plan an anxiety PHQ‑GAD rollout; track quiz completions through to conversions.
Enablement
- Create SOPs, reusable code snippets, and deliver two training workshops to up‑skill founders and the growth team on AI‑first SEO.
You’ll Be Successful If You…
- Ship fast, then iterate — you can scaffold a Contentlayer blog on Monday and have the first post indexed by Friday.
- Marry AI with E‑E‑A‑T — you use LLM speed but always deliver clinician‑reviewed, citation‑backed accuracy.
- Think programmatically — templates and data let you publish thousands of long‑tail pages without thin‑content risks.
- Measure what matters — your north star is booked appointments, not vanity impressions.
Ideal Profile
- 4+ years leading SEO programs that moved revenue at a B2C or health‑tech brand.
- Fluency with AI‑content tooling and prompt/agent design; proven hybrid workflow (AI draft → expert review → publish).
- Deep technical SEO skills: Core Web Vitals, schema, log‑file analysis, Next.js performance, and (bonus) internationalization.
- Comfortable writing code (HTML/CSS/JS, Git) and digging into analytics (GA4, GSC, PostHog, Looker, SQL).
- Extra credit for HIPAA familiarity, medical‑content editing, or prior wins with programmatic/location‑based SEO.
Engagement & Compensation
- Hours: 20–40 hrs per week for an initial six‑month contract (renewable or convert‑to‑hire).
- Pay: Competitive hourly or monthly retainer plus performance bonuses tied to organic‑sourced patient volume.
- Stack Budget: We’ll fund the AI and SEO tools you choose (GrowthX, Positional, AthenaHQ, etc.).
- Reporting: Direct line to the founders, collaborating daily with Engineering and Growth.
