Role Overview - Sustainability Specialist
The Sustainability Specialist supports stakeholder engagement and sustainability programs, coordinating cross-functional teams to implement sustainability strategies and improve environmental and product stewardship. Reporting to the Sustainability Director, this role partners with diverse business and manufacturing teams to drive standardization and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage meetings, milestones and tasks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for rating assessments.
- Design and implement sustainable standardized processes.
- Support greenhouse gas emissions inventory preparation.
- Develop product stewardship strategy and execute communications.
- Conduct benchmarking, gap analysis, and risk assessments.
- Manage various sustainability and ESG-related projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years in a sustainability related field.
- Expertise in GHG Protocol standards and ESG frameworks.
- Strong project and task management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or related field. Sustainability or project management certifications are beneficial.
