THE ROLE
The Director, Corporate Business Partner partners with senior leaders across all corporate functions and provides strategic advice on a wide variety of areas to maximize organization effectiveness and performance. The Senior Director Human Resources provides expert recommendations, counsel, and coaching to senior leaders, managers, and employees on all employee related issues such as, but not limited to performance management, documentation, progressive discipline measures, career development, employee relations, policies and procedures, and all employment/labor laws. The person stepping into this role will proactively anticipate labor/employee relations issues and provide counsel to resolve them. The Senior Director Human Resources, Corporate plays a critical role in building organizational bench strength through strategic identification, recruitment, and development of high-potential talent.
Essential Functions
Strategic Partnership
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive and senior leadership teams.
- Translate business strategy into HR priorities and actionable initiatives.
- Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning efforts.
- Use data, analytics, and business insights to influence decision-making.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management
- Drive and occasionally lead large-scale change initiatives, including restructures, integrations, and cultural transformation.
- Partner with leaders to improve organizational health, engagement, and performance.
- Coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness and team development.
Talent & Performance Management
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development strategies.
- Ensure effective performance management processes are implemented and maintained.
- Support leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
Employee Relations & Risk Management
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Mitigate organizational risk while balancing business objectives and employee experience.
Culture & Engagement
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
- Lead employee engagement survey processes and action planning.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University or equivalent education and work experience required.
- The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years’ human resources experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in a union work environment preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing and developing a team of HR direct reports.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills; effectively influence others.
- Ability to make decisions quickly, and a high level of maturity.
- Employee relations experience, including conducting investigations and resolving grievances.
- Outstanding leadership skills with a high capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, business acumen, organizational savvy.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.
