Role: Associate Scientist MSAT (Cell & Gene Therapy)

Based in Somerset, NJ, this role is part of the Manufacturing Technology (MSAT) team. It supports automated manufacturing process development for CAR-T and other cell therapy products through bench-scale experiments, equipment testing, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute bench-scale experiments for bio-pilot run comparisons and process improvements.
• Operate and troubleshoot closed-system and automated platforms (Prodigy, Rotea, Cue, Lovo, G-Rex).
• Perform analytical assays including flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, and cell counting.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data using statistical tools.
• Support preparation of study protocols, technical reports, and SOPs in compliance with GMP standards.
• Assist in process troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, bioengineering, molecular biology or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of hands-on cell culture experience with T-cells or immune cells in lab settings.
• Experience with aseptic technique and biosafety cabinet work.
• Proficiency in analytical methods (cell counting, viability assays, metabolite monitoring) and data analysis.
• Familiarity with automated/closed-system platforms is preferred.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills.
