Job Description
About LEE
LEE is a nonpartisan network of leaders at all stages of life and career. We provide 1:1 coaching, meaningful member-to-member connections, and skill-building opportunities to support and inspire members to increase access and opportunity in their communities (wearelee.org).
We are a civic leadership development, membership organization. We equip LEE members with the tools, resources, and industry knowledge they need to take collective action and create change in their communities – whether that’s through policymaking, elected leadership, advocacy, or grassroots organizing. LEE believes that effective leaders who are grounded in their values and experiences can make a difference in their communities.
LEE is an outcomes-oriented organization that operates in an entrepreneurial environment deeply invested in continuous improvement. LEE is proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work, and to offer generous compensation, a virtual work setting that includes flexible scheduling, and a values-driven benefits package.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Coach and Adviser supports LEE members’ effectiveness and impact in their policy, advocacy, organizing, and/or elected roles, with a particular focus on supporting senior members whose identities have not been traditionally represented in positions of power.
As senior leaders in their own right, advisers will be well positioned to support LEE member leaders with career and executive coaching and facilitation that pushes their thinking and their work toward deeper impact and stronger networks with other equity-oriented leaders. Central to our support model is a belief that the most effective leaders actively reflect on how their identity, values, and experiences shape their vision for increasing access and opportunity in their community. Part-Time Coach and Advisers will leverage LEE’s online resources to advise a portfolio of senior LEE members toward deeper impact, meeting with them via phone, video, and email, and tracking data to report on progress and outcomes. They will contribute to drafting resources and member-facing communication related to leaders, facilitate small group learning and events, and/or connect members to grow their networks.
Part-Time Coach and Advisers will report to the Senior Director, Member Impact & Effectiveness or the Director, Group Coaching & Innovations. Time commitment is 5 - 20 hours a week; work hours are flexible and determined quarterly in consultation with the team.
Due to the high volume of applications, the hiring team will prioritize review of completed applications which includes resume submission and the completion of four multiple choice questions and two short answer questions.
