Overview

The Project Manager Building Construction role at Ledcor requires a seasoned professional with over 6 years of experience in commercial and residential construction projects. In this role, you will develop project plans and schedules while upholding high standards of safety and quality.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Applies Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) and compliance standards.
  • Creates and facilitates the Project Quality Program for materials and work.
  • Ensures construction adheres to approved plans, specifications, drawings and codes.
  • Develops and maintains construction schedules with the project team.
  • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides strong leadership and motivates team members.
  • Identifies and manages project risks and opportunities.
  • Maintains, tracks, and reports financial aspects including forecasts and billings.
  • Manages the procurement process including subcontractor and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years related experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline is an asset.
  • Experience in managing new build commercial and residential projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues and providing solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of building successful teams.

Working Conditions

This is an office and site-based role located in Kelowna, BC with travel required within British Columbia and Alberta. Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and proof of insurance including minimum $2M liability coverage. WHMIS 2015 and CSTS training certification are required or must be obtained. Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening is also a prerequisite.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $93,600 to $128,700 annually, determined by experience, skills, and location. Ledcor offers a competitive total rewards package that supports physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
