As an Engineering Product Leader (EPL) reporting to the BMW Project Chief Engineer, your primary objective is to drive the development and delivery of cost-competitive designs on time, within budget, and to quality targets, while meeting all customer requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring Flawless Product Development and Launch. You will be responsible for leading Project Engineering for awarded core electronics products through their entire lifecycle: development, launch, and current production. Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with customers and define the product roadmap, working with discipline leaders to set and execute this vision.
• Serve as the first point of contact for planning changes and managing engineering customer interfaces.
• Manage the Project Engineering budget, forecast, and expense control, including resources, expenses, and CAPEX.
• Organize and lead diverse engineering teams globally (HW, SW, Systems, Electromech., Safety, Cybersecurity, Testing) based on development needs, ensuring engineering deliverables and successful execution.
• Lead and follow-up on engineering meetings, both internally (Lear) and externally (Customer).
• Lead, control, and execute the Engineering Open Issues list.
• Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and oversee component costs to achieve product competitiveness targets, CTO roadmaps, material cost, MTS, and Design to Cost initiatives.
• Lead technical evaluations of product changes (ECR, PCR, DFC, DFM ).
• Manage engineering risks that could impact project milestones.
• Actively participate in engineering process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support and monitor the implementation of Dashboards with KPIs and control charts per project.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles.
• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong technical and management skills/experience.
• High level of English is mandatory. German language skills will also be considered.
