We are seeking a Staff QA Automation Engineer to drive the vision and strategy for quality engineering across LeanData. This senior individual contributor role combines deep technical expertise with cross-team influence.
What You’ll Be Doing
The successful candidate will:
- Define and evolve the company-wide QA automation strategy with a focus on Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable frameworks supporting UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Partner with QA leadership to define and evangelize QA automation best practices.
- Lead the integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines and influence release engineering practices.
- Mentor Senior SDETs and QA Engineers, fostering next generation automation leaders.
- Contribute to a long-term quality roadmap reducing risk and accelerating release velocity.
Requirements
Candidates must have:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
- Deep expertise with Playwright and strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Proven track record in designing scalable automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating automation into complex CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of various testing strategies and SQL for backend testing.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of AWS services and/or Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Java.
