Overview
The Director, Media Relations at LCBO will shape and protect the public reputation of the organization through proactive, strategic, and responsive media engagement and issues management.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as LCBO’s primary media contact across various platforms.
- Act as an official spokesperson and deliver consistent messaging.
- Prepare media materials including press releases, statements, and briefs.
- Develop relationships with journalists and manage crisis communications.
- Brief senior executives and coordinate with leadership and external agencies.
About You
You will have a University degree in communications or related field, 8+ years media relations experience, and 5+ years in senior leadership roles. The role requires political acuity, strong judgment, clear communication and the ability to manage high-risk situations.
