Role Overview

The International Equity team is seeking a highly ambitious, motivated, detail-oriented Portfolio Analyst to support the service and development of new and existing client relationships. This individual will primarily assist with preparing marketing materials, leveraging PowerPoint for client service and new business presentations, and will also heavily support senior team members. This role offers excellent preparation for a career path within the group, with responsibilities increasing over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently and in conjunction with senior team members to develop and maintain accurate client servicing materials, including PowerPoint presentations related to performance attribution, positioning, and macro-economic outlook.
• Assist with ad-hoc portfolio team requests as well as with RFPs/DDQs/RFIs.
• Liaise with marketing, legal, compliance, and other internal functions to effectively communicate, complete, and manage multiple dynamic deliverables.
• Learn and adapt to anticipate the needs of our team and clients.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience working in and around investment teams.
• Demonstrated passion for and understanding of financial markets.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel experience, and experience building data-driven presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Familiarity with Portfolio Analytics (such as attribution and/or risk analytics) and Factset.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills (responsive, inquisitive) as well as decision-making and analytical abilities.
• A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and intellectual curiosity.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across mediums and geographies seamlessly.
• Desire to learn/monitor platform holdings, international equity markets, and macro-economic data/trends is critical.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA designation.
• Data analysis skills, such as Python, VBA, SQL.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $90,000-$120,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
