Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description:

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures.

This role is very detail-oriented and requires preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts that go into creating our products. The Mechanical Assembler must have mechanical and technical skills for this position. LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable, team-oriented worker with dexterity to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret instructions to determine materials and sequencing.
• Fabrication and installation of flexibar as required.
• Installation of larger power wires, including crimping and shrinking.
• Inspection of parts to comply with quality standards.
• Properly document and communicate with supervision as required.
• Become familiar with interpreting 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Assembly experience or transferrable mechanical skills.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction.
• Use of hand tools & wire crimpers.
• Handle intricate parts with dexterity.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude.

Preferred:

• Electrical assembly experience.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with diverse computer programs.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and handling heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
• Standing during the entire shift.
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing as needed.
• Hand dexterity for small hardware installation.
• Good vision for part inspections.

Schedule (2nd Shift):

Monday-Thursday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, ½ hour unpaid lunch, 2 paid breaks.
