Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for

• Assembly of fabricated and electrical components and subassemblies.
• Preparing, positioning, and verifying parts for product creation.
• Utilizing mechanical and technical skills in a detail-oriented role.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
• Fabricate and install flexibar as required.
• Install larger power wires including retrieving and crimp lugging.
• Inspect parts to comply with quality standards.
• Effectively communicate with supervision as necessary.
• Become familiar with 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Assembly or transferrable mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
• Competence in using hand tools and wire crimpers.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

Electrical assembly experience, excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and strong computer navigation abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and handling heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods up to eight hours.
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing as needed.
• Hand dexterity for installing small hardware.
• Good vision for inspecting parts and assemblies.

Schedule (2nd Shift):

Monday-Thursday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, with breaks.
