Job Title: Mechanical Assembler (1st Shift)

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role is very detail-oriented and requires preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts that go into creating our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret instructions including work orders, diagrams, and verbal directions.
  • Fabrication and installation of flexibar as required.
  • Installation of larger power wires inclusive of retrieving, crimp lugging and heat sleeve shrinking.
  • Inspection of parts, materials, and assemblies to comply with quality standards.
  • Communicate and document with supervision as required.
  • Become familiar with interpreting 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferrable skills.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
  • Experience using hand tools and wire crimpers.
  • Reliable attendance and respectful attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods, up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Bend, squat, kneel, or climb while working.
  • Good hand dexterity for installing small hardware.

Schedule (1st Shift):

Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
