Position Description:

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role is very detail-oriented and requires preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts that go into creating our products. The Mechanical Assembler must have mechanical and technical skills for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret instructions such as work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
• Fabrication and installation of flexibar as required.
• Installation of larger power wires.
• Inspection of parts, materials, and assemblies.
• Properly communicate/document with supervision.
• Become familiar with interpreting 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent- Assembly in a manufacturing environment- Ability to read assembly drawings- Ability to use hand tools & wire crimpers- Pass a background check and drug screen- Reliable attendance- Respectful of others- Positive attitude

Preferred:

- Electrical assembly experience- Excellent documentation skills- Strong attention to detail- Ability to navigate computer programs

Physical Requirements:

- Lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.- Stand for extended periods- Bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder- Reach above and forward at least 18 inches- Possess hand dexterity

Schedule (1st Shift):

Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch, 2 paid breaks.
