The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role demands attention to detail and mechanical aptitude in preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts used in product creation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 3D models to understand assembly processes.
• Utilize basic hand tools to assemble cabinet components.
• Install flexibar and power cables according to design.
• Understand torque drawings and apply proper techniques.
• Inspect parts, materials and assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Report quality issues to supervisors and leads.
• Maintain proper communication and documentation with supervision.
• Adapt and remain flexible as work content evolves.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in assembly within a manufacturing environment or equivalent mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and wire crimpers.
• Reliable attendance and background check clearance.
• Respectful behavior and a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Computer navigation skills across various programs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle parts up to 35 lbs.
• Endure standing for extended periods (up to eight hours).
• Capability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb as required.
• Reach above and forward at least 18 inches.
• Possess hand dexterity and install small hardware.
• Maintain good vision for detailed inspection.
