Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This position requires detail orientation, mechanical skill, and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
  • Fabricate and install flexibar as required.
  • Install large power wires, including crimp lugging and heat sleeve shrinking.
  • Inspect parts, materials and assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Document communications with supervision.
  • Learn to interpret 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in assembly or transferable mechanical experience.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
  • Skilled with hand tools and wire crimpers.
  • Detail oriented with ability to handle intricate parts.
  • Pass background check and drug screen.
  • Reliable attendance, respectful and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical assembly experience.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate various computer programs.

Physical Requirements & Schedule (2nd Shift)

  • Lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods (full eight-hour shift).
  • Bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder as needed.
  • Reach above and forward at least 18 inches.
  • Work hours: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 pm to 12:30 am with breaks.
