Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. The role demands high attention to detail and requires candidate proficiency in interpreting work orders, diagrams, and wire lists, along with excellent mechanical skills.
Responsibilities
- Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
- Fabricate and install flexibar and large power wires including crimping and heat sleeve shrinking.
- Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards.
- Communicate and document progress with supervision.
- Familiarize with 3-D solid model viewers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Assembly experience in manufacturing or transferable mechanical experience.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction.
- Skilled in using hand tools and wire crimpers.
- Capable of handling intricate parts; reliable attendance and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical assembly experience.
- Excellent documentation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate various computer programs.
Physical Requirements & Schedule
The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing. The shift is Monday-Thursday from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am (2nd Shift) with a half-hour unpaid lunch and two paid breaks.
