Position Overview - Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies and miscellaneous enclosures. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical and technical skills capable of preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists and verbal directions for assembly sequencing.
• Fabricate and install flexibar as required.
• Install larger power wires including retrieval, crimp lugging, and heat sleeve shrinking.
• Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure quality standards.
• Communicate and document work with supervision as required.
• Familiarize with 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in assembly in a manufacturing environment or equivalent mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and wire crimpers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle intricate parts.
• Pass background check and drug screen; reliable attendance; respectful and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical assembly experience.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and familiarity with computer programs.

Physical Requirements & Schedule (1st Shift)

• Lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.
• Stand for up to an eight-hour shift.
• Bend, squat, kneel, or climb as needed.
• Work Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with designated breaks.
