Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This detail-oriented role involves preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts essential to creating our products. The position demands mechanical and technical skills along with a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
• Fabricate and install flexibar as required.
• Install larger power wires, including crimp lugging and heat sleeve shrinking.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Communicate and document with supervision appropriately.
• Familiarize with 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing assembly or transferrable mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and wire crimpers.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle intricate parts.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Consistent attendance and respectful demeanor.

Preferred Skills

• Electrical assembly experience.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate various computer programs.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
• Stand for an eight-hour shift.
• Bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder.
• Reach above and forward at least 18 inches.
• Possess hand dexterity and good vision for inspection.

Schedule (1st Shift)

Monday-Friday: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a ½ hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid breaks.
