Position Description

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems - 1st Shift is responsible for assembling fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role requires careful preparation, positioning, assembling, and verification of parts used in our products.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, diagrams, and wire lists.
• Fabricate and install flexibar components as required.
• Install large power wires including crimping and heat sleeve shrinking.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Communicate and document with supervision.
• Familiarize with 3-D solid model viewers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing assembly or mechanical work.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
• Proficient with hand tools and wire crimpers.
• Detail-oriented with good dexterity.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Attendance reliability and respectful attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical assembly experience.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use various computer programs.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.
• Stand for an entire eight-hour shift.
• Bend, squat, kneel, or climb as needed.
• Reach above 18 inches.
• Good hand dexterity and vision.

Schedule (1st Shift)

Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a ½ hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid breaks.
