Position: Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift

The Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is responsible for assembling fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role requires detailed preparation, positioning, and verification of parts while ensuring quality throughout the assembly process.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret work orders, diagrams, wire lists and verbal instructions.
  • Assemble parts, fabricate components, and install flexibar as required.
  • Install larger power wires including retrieving, crimp lugging and heat sleeve shrinking.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Communicate and document with supervision as required.
  • Interpret 3-D solid model viewers as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in assembly or related mechanical work.
  • Able to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and wire crimpers.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle intricate parts.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Reliable attendance and respectful demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical assembly experience.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and computer navigation abilities.

Physical Requirements & Schedule

  • Lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand for an eight-hour shift.
  • Bend, squat, kneel, or climb as required.
  • Work Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a ½ hour lunch and 2 paid breaks.
